Training New Trainers (TNT)

TNT has the aim to empower participants with non-formal education techniques and give them the opportunity to become IFMSA Trainers. It is a way of creating international trainers, who will deliver trainings within IFMSA and their NMOs and enhancing capacity building within the region. Also, it is a very interesting workshop, in which medical students from many European countries get to know each other, exchange ideas and get motivation and inspiration.

Using Simulation Games on Human Rights (Peer) Education

In this workshop we will train participants to lead Human Rights peer education in a different and more creative way: simulation games. The participants will develop skills in peer education, Human Rights, motivation and creativity, with room for debates, experience sharing etc. At the end of the workshop the participants will be able to lead Human Rights simulation games and create them on their own.

Training Medical Education Trainers (TMET)

Medical students are the voices of medical education while IFMSA is the voice of medical students. Therefore, training our members in medical education shapes not only the quality of medical education itself, but also the quality of healthcare. But before all, we should be aware of what medical education is made of: curriculum design, assessment, learning methods and more. To move forward, we should know what to change and how to change it.

TMET focuses exactly on that: giving participants the knowledge and empowering them to initiate their own peer-education based activities to make sure their voices are heard and mostly, impactful.

If you want to make a meaningful change in your education and fulfill your role as a medical student, then this workshop is for you!

External Representation & Policy Making

Policy and advocacy are central to ensuring external representation is effective and efficient. We therefore need  to support the creation of high-quality policy, that can support delegations to external meetings and ensure advocates within the IFMSA can make a positive impact on global health.

During this workshop, we will empower delegates to understand the need for policy, enable them to become confident in understanding and formulating policy, and give them the skills to present policy effectively. We will also explore how you can organise effective campaigns and improve your ability to define external representation priorities and achieve them in your NMO. IFMSA members then will feel empowered to work in different advocacy and policy campaigns of the Federation, according to their motivation.

Preventive Medicine

Preventive health care consists of measures taken for disease prevention, as an attempt to not catch a disease or get less complications once it’s installed. Disease prevention relies on actions that can be taken at different levels of healthcare. These levels are very intrigued with various factors, such as environmental factors, disease agents, genetic background and lifestyle choices often being called ‘social determinants of health’.

We are developing this workshop to build strong capacity on the evidence behind health education and literacy methods and how to use the skills in order to convey the message and develop projects at the local and international level. Different activities will be organized from lectures of reknown external speakers, to debates and interactive sessions.

Building Capacity Building Systems

After delivering a training session you start to ponder over what kind of impact your workshop had on the life of the participants. Was it life changing? And you start wondering ‘’What kind of difference am I making? Do I actually serve a purpose?’’

Why is that? Because most of our capacity building systems are not purpose driven. That is why the Euroteam has decided to organise a workshop that will teach you how to set up or improve your capacity building system.

We will cover topics, such as strategic planning, quality assurance and implementation.  After the workshop you will be supported by a manual and the Euroteam in implementing the learnt content in your organisation.

Get ready to make a change!!!
